"Beautiful By Nature"
Zebras live in stable family groups with several females (mares)
and their offspring. The herd is led by an adult male (stallion).
During travel, the group is led by the dominant female and her foal.
Members recognize each other by sight, voice and smell. A female may
produce a foal every year after a gestation period of 361-390 days. A
female guards her baby when it’s first born, giving it time to learn
her pattern of stripes. Minutes after being born, a foal wobbles to its
feet and within an hour can run by its mothers side.
Starlite's sculptures
are made from one or any combination of different materials, such as
bronze, pewter, Lucite, acrylic, porcelain, resin or wood. A chemical
is applied to the sculpture, that when heated will cause oxidation.
This etches into the metal & causes a rainbow of color to appear.
