The Virgin Mary appeared in the town of Fatima, Portugal between May 13th and October 13th,1917, to three young children. She told them she was sent by God and had a message for all people. Our Lady of Fatima told the children that Heaven would grant peace if nations prayed and obeyed. She specifically told them to tell everyone to say the Rosary. The children asked Mary to give them a sign so everyone would believe they had seen her. Later, when people from all over the world came to the site, sun became a bright ball of fire and the Image of the Virgin Mary was seen in it. The event became known as the Miracle of the Sun.
Each figure is created from a mixture of resin and marble powder which is blended to create a material which is poured into the master mold. It is sculpted with intricate detail by hand & then inspected for any flaws.
