"The Cornish Santa"

The Cornish Santa, with the Celtic name of “Tas Nadelik”, embodies the spirit of the Cornish people. His sack is filled with bits of Cornish culture such as a miner’s lamp and the steam engine invented by Richard Trevithick. The Cornish Chough riding on his shoulder, is a member of the crow family.The cat accompanying Santa represents the legend of the “Mousehole Lights”. The legend is about Mousehole, a small fishing village in West Cornwall with a beautiful harbor.

 Each figure is created from a mixture of resin and marble powder which is blended to create a material which is poured into the master mold. It is sculpted with intricate detail by hand & then inspected for any flaws.
